One of Edinburgh’s favourite Japanese restaurants and street food stalls, Harajuku Kitchen, has launched its latest incarnation with an izakaya style residency at Cabaret Voltaire. I went along earlier tonight, with other food and travel bloggers to try it out.
From the first page of the menu I felt a wave of delight. There was chawanmushi, and there was dobinmushi; two of my favourite dishes, so rarely found in the UK. Their presence immediately signalled a flair of authenticity.
