Glengoyne Whisky Supper at Cannonball

As part of Kerry’s mad Festival antics, she attended a Glengoyne Whisky Supper at Cannonball. It was a chance to become a whisky aficionado with like-minded individuals in a group dining experience a stone’s throw from the Castle.

Kerry’s a huge fan already: the Glengoyne 21 year-old is her favorite whisky ever. The group learnt about the history of whisky from Neil Boyd, Commercial Director at Ian Macleod Distillers, and tasted two very special malts, whilst enjoying a delicious two course supper. There was even the chance to hear the closing parade from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo from their private courtyard – thrown in for free.

About Caroline von Schmalensee

Cooking, eating and drinking is fun as well as necessary. I do food for fun and I write for a living. Good food makes the world a more delicious and satisfying place. Good writing, meanwhile, can make the world a less confusing place.
